She's been a silver screen staple in U.S. households for decades, and Katie Couric has been chosen to grace the cover of Good Housekeeping magazine's September 2012 issue.
The 55-year-old reporter looked cute and colorful in a David Mester berry dress with Susan Hanover jewels for the Andrew Ecces photographed front page while dishing about everything from her new show to her biggest regrets.

On her age:
"Being in the last half of your life is very scary. Turning 55 was more of a wake-up call on that front for me than 50 was."
On her newly relaxed schedule:
"Not having to put on makeup every day was a godsend. Not having overschedules days, not having to get on a plane at the drop of a hat â€" it was just nice. It was a time for me to recalibrate, which is a word I think of a lot. I try to reevalutate all the aspects of my life â€" what am I doing right, what am I doing wrong, am I spending enough time with my kids? This year allowed me to take some time and get off the treadmill a little bit. To slow down, which I haven’t done in 32 years."
On not being able to have more children:
"I have total child lust when I see little kids. I think emotionally and psychologically it’s weird to feel like, gosh my childbearing years are over. And of course they’ve been over for a long time, but still, they’re officially over now. It’s kind of a head trip, to tell you the truth."
