Stepping out to promote their highly-anticipated film, the stars of âThe Hobbit: An Unexpected Journeyâ took to The Ziegfeld Theater for what was a grand New York City premiere on Thursday (December 6).
All looking dapper in their red carpet best, co-stars Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Richard Armitage, Andy Serkis and Martin Freeman worked the press line and greeted fans before heading in to the main spectacle.
Also joining in on the fun were director Peter Jackson, as well as "Star Trek" actor Patrick Stewart and a duo of lovely ladies in "Lord of the Rings" actress Liv Tyler and "Magic Mike" hottie Cody Horn.
As for the first film in Jacksonâs latest trilogy, it finds "a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, journey to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug.â
Already receiving rave reviews from early screeners, âThe Hobbit: An Unexpected Journeyâ is all set to hit theaters on Friday, December 14th.
